Rules and Regulation

School Precepts

Background

At Ratan International School, Bulandshahr, we believe in creating a disciplined, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes the academic, physical, and emotional growth of our students. The following rules and regulations serve to maintain a well-structured school environment conducive to learning.

1. General Code of Conduct

  • Punctuality: All students must arrive at school on time. The school gates will close at 8:00 AM, and latecomers will not be allowed entry without a valid reason.
  • Discipline: Students are expected to follow the instructions of teachers and staff at all times. Misbehavior, use of foul language, or disobedience will not be tolerated.
  • Respect: Students must show respect towards peers, teachers, staff, and school property. Bullying, harassment, or any form of discrimination will lead to strict disciplinary action.
  • Uniform: The prescribed school uniform must be worn every day. Students must maintain neatness and cleanliness in their appearance. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in being sent home.
  • Mobile Phones and Gadgets: The use of mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited during school hours unless permitted by the teacher for educational purposes. Confiscated devices will only be returned to parents.

2. Attendance and Leave Policy

  • Attendance: Students are required to maintain at least 85% attendance to be eligible for promotions or participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Leave of Absence: In case of illness or emergency, a written leave application from parents or guardians is mandatory. Absence without prior notice may result in disciplinary action.
  • Medical Leave: For prolonged medical leave (over 3 days), a doctor’s certificate is required upon returning to school.
  • Half-Day Leave: Half-day leave is discouraged. If absolutely necessary, it must be approved by the principal in advance.

3. Academic Pennants

  • Homework and Assignments: Timely submission of homework, assignments, and projects is mandatory. Delayed submissions without a valid reason will result in reduced grades or disciplinary action.
  • Examinations: Students must adhere to the exam schedules and avoid any form of malpractice during exams. Any unfair means during assessments will result in immediate suspension and cancellation of that exam paper.
  • Parent-Teacher Meetings: Parents are expected to attend scheduled Parent-Teacher Meetings to discuss their child’s progress. Regular communication between teachers and parents is essential for student success.
